Year 5 oversubscription criteria – 50 places:
- all 'looked after' children or children who were previously 'looked after', including children who appear to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted (see definition below)
- children who have attended Fulbrook’s feeder schools i.e. Husborne Crawley, Ridgmont and Woburn lower schools
- children living in the catchment area (to include the “Parklands Development”) with siblings at the school
- other children living in the catchment area (to include the “Parklands Development”), and service children with a confirmed posting to the catchment area or crown servants returning from overseas to live in the catchment area
- ‘very exceptional’ medical grounds (see definition below)
- other siblings
- children of staff at Fulbrook Middle School (see definition below)
- any other children
Year 7 oversubscription criteria - 120 places:
- a ‘Looked After Child’ or a ‘Previously Looked After Child’ as defined below
- pupils who are attending Fulbrook’s feeder schools, i.e. Aspley Guise, Husborne Crawley, Ridgmont, Hockliffe and Woburn Lower Schools at the time of application with a reasonable expectation that they will be attending until the end of the academic year
- pupils living in the defined area (see below), with a sibling at Fulbrook at the time of application with a reasonable expectation that the sibling will be attending Fulbrook at the start of the new academic year of proposed admission
- other pupils living in the defined area, and Service Children with a confirmed posting to the defined area or crown servants returning from overseas to live in the defined area
- pupils living outside of the defined area with a sibling at Fulbrook at the time of application with a reasonable expectation that the sibling will be attending Fulbrook at the start of the new academic year of proposed admission
- children of staff of the School where either or both of the following circumstances apply: (a) where the member of staff has been employed at Fulbrook for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the School is made; (b) where the member of staff is recruited to fill a vacant post for which there is a demonstrable skill shortage at the School. It is at the absolute discretion of the Headteacher to determine when there is a demonstrable skill shortage

Definition of 'children who appear to have been in state care outside of England'
Children who appear to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.
A child is regarded as having been in state care in a place outside of England if they were accommodated by a public authority, a religious organisation or any other provider of care whose sole purpose is to benefit society.
Definition of 'very exceptional' medical grounds
‘Very exceptional’ medical grounds refer to cases where there are exceptional medical reasons which make it essential that a child should attend a particular school and where the preferred school is the only school locally that could meet the child’s needs. A medical report from the child’s doctor or consultant must be submitted with the application form, setting out valid medical reasons why it is essential for the child to be admitted to the school in question and the difficulties that would be caused if the child had to attend another school. The governors reserve the right to seek further information to determine whether it is essential for a child to be admitted to the preferred school on medical grounds. Admission on medical grounds cannot be considered where the medical condition relates to that of a parent/carer, brother or sister or another relative/childminder.

All staff directly employed at the school for two or more years at the time of application for admission and/or staff recruited to fill a vacant post where there was a demonstrable skill shortage.
