Call 0300 300 8000, 24 hours a day, to report highway emergencies such as fallen trees blocking the road, flooding, major spillages, urgent traffic signal failures, road closures or serious road damage.

For non-emergency highway issues, such as potholes, damaged signs, blocked drains or street lighting faults, use our online reporting service.

Report non-emergency highway issues

Motorways and some major A roads are managed by National Highways. For issues on the A1, A1(M), A5, A421 or M1, call National Highways on 0300 123 5000.
