The Family Drug and Alcohol Court (FDAC) is an alternative (and, research shows, more successful) form of care proceedings, where parental substance misuse is a concern.
It is a bespoke, problem-solving, trauma-informed approach to target individual families’ complex difficulties.
Running across Bedfordshire, FDAC is the result of a partnership between:
- Central Bedfordshire Council
- Bedford Borough Council
- Luton Town Council
- Office of Police and Crime Commissioner
- Bedfordshire Integrated Care Board
The FDAC teams work is informed by multi-disciplinary expertise. The outcomes nationally and locally are significantly improved over that of standard proceedings. The service brings positive outcomes for our children, their families and wider communities.
