Reporting a highway fault
The form below should be used to report non emergency highway faults, e.g. potholes or street lighting problems. If you believe the fault you are reporting is an emergency (e.g. likely to cause damage or injury or wires showing) then please telephone the 24 hour phone line (0300 300 8049) to report the fault.
Central Bedfordshire Council is responsible for maintaining and, if necessary, repairing public road surfaces, pavements and footways within our area.

Highways charges
The following charges will apply to highway events/damage from 1 April 2011
| Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders | £1200.00 |
| Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders for Special Events | £1200.0 |
| Special Events Orders for Charities and Local Authorities | £150.00 |
| Emergency Traffic Regulation Orders | £600.00 |
| Scaffold Licences | £100.00 |
| Streetworks Licences | £250.00 |
| Road Opening Permits (Bond) for up to 5 sq metres | £450.00 |
| Additional Bond charge for above over 5m2 - per sq.metre | £90.00 |
| 1/3 of above for excavations in footway or verge (Bond) per metre | £30.00 |
| Road Opening Permit Fee | £90.00 |
