Access and Inclusion Service

The Access and Inclusion Service in Central Bedfordshire is responsible for ensuring that parents carry out their legal duty to ensure that their children receive a suitable education.

The service is responsible for:

  • school attendance
  • exclusions from school
  • Fair Access Protocol (FAP)
  • support to traveller children
  • child employment
  • children in entertainment
  • children missing education
  • home education (also known as 'elective home education' or 'education otherwise than at school')
