Education advisers
The primary role of the education adviser is to offer advice, support, guidance and training to schools, social workers and other professionals about all matters relating to the learning experience and achievement of looked after children.
This takes place within termly PEP meetings, where schools and social workers work closely with us to ensure that expectations for pupils remain high and that we continue to narrow the gap in attainment for all our looked after children.
Personal adviser
The role of the personal adviser working for the Youth Support Service and the virtual school is to work with 13 to 19 year olds currently in our care, together with care leavers.
Face-to-face impartial careers guidance is undertaken with the young person in order for them to achieve educationally, help broaden their horizons and raise their aspirations, increasing participation in further education, employment and training.
Virtual school administrator
The role of the administrator is to manage the personal education plans (PEP) and to offer support and advice to schools on the completion of the documentation.
