Code of conduct

All pupils who use school transport provided by Central Bedfordshire Council are expected to abide by the relevant code of conduct.

The code of conduct (PDF 83.5KB) outlines what is expected of parents and pupils who access home to school transport and it is advised that parents read them before accepting the provision of transport.

Pupils or parents who fail to abide by the Code of Conduct when using school transport provided by the Council may be banned from accessing the provision for a set period of time or permanently depending on the severity of the incident.

If a ban is issued it will be the responsibility of the pupil's parent, carer or guardian to arrange school transport to and from school until the ban finishes or on a permanent basis. This means it is in the best interests of parents, pupils and staff to become familiar with and abide by the Code of Conduct.
