Child Poverty Strategy and Family Poverty Needs Assessment
The 2010 Child Poverty Act enshrined in legislation the government’s ambition to eradicate Child Poverty by 2020. This strategy is our local response to a government requirement, setting out how organisations across Central Bedfordshire will work together to reduce child poverty and alleviate its effects.
Poverty is everybody’s business and the Council has worked with partners, especially through the Children’s Trust to develop this strategy and work towards eradicating this blight on our society.
