Take some time to celebrate volunteers

Nominations are now open for this year’s Central Bedfordshire Cheering Volunteering Awards.

The awards and celebration evening is being held at the Grove Theatre, in Dunstable, on Tuesday, 7 June to say thank you to those who give their time to help others.

The event is being organised by Central Bedfordshire Council and Central Bedfordshire’s Volunteer Centres.

It is the second staging of the event following last year’s inaugural celebration which saw 400 people attend the ceremony and almost 100 nominations across the different categories.

This year there will again be seven awards – and you can make nominations in six of the categories:

  • Young Volunteer of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year
  • Volunteer Group of the Year
  • Outstanding Contribution
  • Lifetime Achievement
  • Fundraiser of the Year
  • Panel’s Choice (selected from nominations received)
