Self-service technology is coming to your library
Latest News: Libraries Modernisation Programme
We have now completed year one of our modernisation programme. The main aims for year one was to introduce self-service technology (RFID) via our kiosks; improve the infrastructure and the look and feel of our buildings; introduce different zones (Read and Relax areas); introduce new shelving and furniture; and to provide refreshment machines where possible. A full report on what improvements we have made to each library will be made available over the coming months via this webpage.
As our customers, we hope that you are pleased with the results of the work that we have undertaken, and we thank you for your patience and support, especially during our shutdown periods that have affected your library.
We will also outline works for 2013-14 as soon as we have agreed the programme of works and what possible impact it will have on your library.
