Run by Bedford Creative Arts, Creative Bedfordshire is a network for creatives of all kinds living and working in Bedfordshire, so whether you work in the arts, run a creative business or are a freelance artist, designer, actor, producer, maker or musician (or commission them), this network is for you.
Creative Bedfordshire meetings take place monthly and alternate between Bedford and Central Bedfordshire locations.
Planning for the delivery of meetings across 2015-16 is currently underway and further details will be available shortly. To keep up to date, join the Creative Bedfordshire mailing list by emailing Bedford Creative Arts email@example.com with ‘Creative Bedfordshire’ in the subject heading.
Alternatively, follow Creative Bedfordshire on @creativebeds or contact Sandra Dartnell on firstname.lastname@example.org
Central Bedfordshire Arts Team does not currently have a budget for arts funding.
However, if you or your arts organisation have an idea or project that you would like to fulfil, here are a few ideas as to where to go for some help with funding. Please be aware that most funding bodies do require you to find some of the cost of the project.
Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity - the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation is a grant maker supporting local community groups and charities
Arts Council England - Grants for the Arts funding (individuals, organisations, national touring - variable)
Community and Voluntary Service - an umbrella organisation that supports and represents the interests of voluntary organisations, community groups and charities in Bedfordshire
National Lottery Funding (NFL)
Awards for All (aimed at local communities - grants of £500 - £500,000)
Grants for the Arts (£1K - £100K)
Big Lottery (£300 - £10K)
Youth Music is the UK's largest children's music charity providing funding for music projects and activities.
There are also many grant giving bodies and trusts to be found on the Internet. They are often art form or agenda specific (e.g. awards just for sculptors or poets; awards just for young people or older people)
