Careers in Adult Social Care

Social care

Great place to live and work

Central Bedfordshire is a diverse area and is home to over 264,500 people, living in picturesque villages, hamlets and historic market towns. It’s a lovely area to work in, with beautiful countryside and great transport links – making it easy to get to.

Our children and adults services teams are busy working with many different partners across the county to ensure that our most vulnerable people have the support they need and the choices they want.

We’re clear on where we’re going – and how our people can help us get there. We instil our trust and confidence in them. We listen. We look after each other. We challenge what’s gone before. And, most importantly, we do it together.

Growing sector

Adult social care is an ever-growing sector, offering both stability and progression. At current, the sector employs 1.5 million people, and by 2025 it’s estimated that another 1 million workers will be needed to meet the needs of the ageing population.
