Care worker - Mayfair Home Care

Description: With many years of experience, Mayfair Homecare is a leading national provider of home care, providing a wide range of services that help individuals to maintain their independence in their own home.

We provide care services throughout the area of Biggleswade, Sandy and environs.

Job purpose:

  • to provide a range of personal, social, emotional and practical care tasks as required for the well-being of service users and their carers
  • to work towards an assessed and planned package of support, care or maintenance programme, enabling service users and their carers to exercise control over their own lives by maximising their independence
  • to provide a degree of social and emotional support to the service user
  • to provide a culturally and ethnically sensitive service, this is integral to the provision of home care

Duties:

Experience is not essential as full training is provided. The successful applicants duties will include personal care, shopping, preparing meals and other associated tasks within the clients home. We expect our carers to provide a high standard of care to all our clients at all times.

Mayfair Homecare offer a good competitive salary and the chance to work within our existing dynamic and friendly team. Different shift patterns are available between the hours of 7am and 10pm daily.

This position is subject to an enhanced disclosure barring service (DBS) check, successful references and the correct right to work entitlement.

Activity co-ordinator - Chiltern View

Salary: £7.83 per hour (no experience), £8.30 per hour (NCFE level 2)

Description: The ideal candidate will need excellent skills in arts and crafts, be creative and have an open imagination. The ability to arrange activities and outings is essential in maintaining our service users' lifestyle. We are looking for a unique individual who will embrace the challenge of working with dementia. The ability to communicate with families, commuinty and businesses and fund raising is a vital part of the role. You will need to be flexible in your work pattern, which will include weekends and bank holidays as required.

Care assistants, full time / part time

Salary: £8 per hour

Description: We are actively seeking full and part time care assistants to join our experience work foce in a dementia care home. Though experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right applicant. The role requires an enhanced DBS check, the cost of which to be met by the application on successful application. The role requires supporting in personal care, life style choices, supporting at meal times, mobility, using equipment and in maintaining the health and safety of our service users.
