The annual performance development review (Your Year) ensures that all employees have an opportunity to discuss, review and agree clear objectives with their line manager.

All personal objectives are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and have Timescales) linked to our vision, values, departmental and organisational priorities.

The Your Year process also helps identify training needs, which we can provide in a number of ways:

  • on the job training in a supported learning environment
  • Bedfordshire Academy - an online learning portal
  • short courses - programmes delivered in-house focusing on specific skills such as customer focus, ICT training, project management and health and safety
