Grants
As a council, it’s our job to help people and businesses out when they genuinely need it – so we have funds put aside specially to give financial support in the form of grants. So whether you’re a school-leaver who’d like to apply for an Educational Maintenance Award to continue into education, a parent who needs support with school travel expenses or a business-manager who needs a little more capital to develop your premises, we may be able to help – whether directly or indirectly.
Grants are a complex area of our work here at Central Bedfordshire Council, so if you can’t find the information you’re looking for here on the website (see left-hand navigation) or you need any further clarification, please feel free to contact us and we’ll discuss your individual circumstances in person.

Central Bedfordshire Council subscribes to GRANTnet, a user-friendly free to use service which has been devised to assist community and voluntary groups, sports and other clubs, schools, social enterprises and small businesses in identifying funding sources available for specific projects.
Once you have registered with GRANTnet, you will be e-mailed a password which will allow you to gain access. Having logged into the system, you must answer a few simple questions about your organisation and the project which you wish to undertake; GRANTnet will then provide an overview of all the schemes available.
Users' input and search results will be sent to Central Bedfordshire staff who will use them to generate statistics, but are unable to offer specific assistance on individual funding searches.
