Severe weather - how can you stay informed?
Summer weather can bring bad weather and cause disruption to our services e.g. flooding. This can lead to schools being closed in the event of an emergency.
Our school closure system allows you to register to find out information via email directly from your school. This information is updated by Head Teachers only in the event of a forced closure due to an emergency. You can register to receive information for the school(s) you are interested in. When a change is made, you will receive an email giving the status (open or closed) and brief explanation of the issue.
Central Bedfordshire Council Updates
Central Bedfordshire Council Updates is an email update service which covers over 120 topics, including severe weather news, updates and advice.
We also use Twitter and Facebook on a daily basis to update you with information about all our services. This is particularly important during periods of severe weather as it allows us to get news to you, where you want it - fast!
