Farming - advice and support
Central Bedfordshire supports the provision of advice to farmers and landowners throughout its area through and alongside the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group; this is a national charity that provides high quality professional advice on a wide variety of land management issues.
We work closely with Natural England and the Forestry Commission to ensure that farmers and landowners receive the best and the most tailored advice that they need on such matters as the Entry and Higher Level Environmental Stewardship Schemes and on the England Woodland Grant Scheme that supports woodland planting and management.
A series of information sheets are available for farmers and landowners to help increase awareness of, and the opportunities for, biodiversity and wildlife on farmland.:
