Support getting into work or learning

If you're age 19 or over

If you’re looking for a new job, a change of career, or you want to get back into learning, we offer a range of free support and courses to get you started.

These courses are free for learners aged 19+ subject to meeting funding criteria.

The Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Academy (BESA) also offers a free service providing one-to-one information, advice, and guidance to those looking to get into work, learning or exploring a change of career. You can access this free service if you are age 19 and over (or 18 and not in education, employment or training) and live in Central Bedfordshire or Bedford Borough.

Our dedicated advisers can provide one to one or group support around:

  • CV writing
  • job applications
  • interview skills
  • job searching
  • career change
  • career progression
  • support with searching for learning opportunities

Face-to-face appointments are available in set locations across the county. Alternatively, Microsoft Teams or phone appointments can be scheduled.
