Learner Handbook

The *Learner Handbook (application/pdf; 1051kB) provides you with some basic information to support you whilst undertaking your course.

Learner Support Fund

If you enrol on a course and would like support with fees and additional costs associated with the course please contact your local office or see our Fees and Financial Support section for further information.

The Learner Journey

ACL Step 1

After enrolment, you will be assessed to identify your learning strengths and assess your individual requirements.

ACL Step 2

Your tutor will talk to you about what you would like to achieve/get out of the course and work with you to agree your specific learning objectives.

ACL Step 3

Your progress will be assessed by you and your tutor, who will regularly feedback your developments to you.

ACL Step 4

Whether you are working towards a recognised qualification or a personal learning aim, your achievement will be recorded at the end of the course.

ACL Step 5

You may wish to progress onto another level or another course. Your tutor and our team will be able to advise you of the best course for you.
