About Council Tax
Council Tax is recalculated every year, and you’ll receive a new bill in March.
Some of your Council Tax is passed on to fund the fire service, police service and your local town or parish council – read how we work out your bill to find out more.
The rest of your Council Tax is used by Central Bedfordshire Council to provide local public services like:
- bin collections
- road maintenance
- leisure centres
- social care
- children’s services
- community safety services
