As part of our commitment to being open and transparent we publish all spending over £500. The information below covers all of our directorates, together with the Office of the Chief Executive. We publish monthly spending on the 25th of the following month.

We publish as much information as possible, taking into account our obligations under data protection laws to withhold personal details and other sensitive information. In some circumstances we have therefore replaced personal names with the words ‘Personal Payment’ to protect the individuals concerned. Payments made to individuals such as foster carers are one such example.

VAT is also not included in the payments listed below other than in the few cases that the council is not able to claim this back.

Where the files include items below £500 this is because they form part of a single payment of more than £500, which is split between two or more types of expenditure.

We publish data in two formats, Comma Separated Value (or CSV) and Portable Document Format (or PDF). The CSV format is machine readable for easier reuse and analysis and and these files contain a greater level of detail than the PDF versions. The PDF format is a summarised, easier to read format aimed at the casual user. We have produced an explanation (PDF 54KB) of the data contained in these files for further ease of use. The council subscribes to the government's open government licence (PDF 82KB) for the reuse of the spending and salary information.
