Your council tax - no rise in 2011 and 2012

Central Bedfordshire Council collects council tax from local residents which is used to fund services such as refuse collection, libraries, parks and open spaces, children's services and social care.

Council tax is also collected by Central Bedfordshire to fund local town or parish council services and Bedfordshire Police.

Value for money is a priority for the council. This year Central Bedfordshire Council froze its council tax bills and in its budget proposals for next year, it intends to once again avoid any increase in council tax.
