Conclusion of Audit and availability of the Statement of Accounts
In accordance with Regulation 11 of the Accounts and Audit Regulations 2011, notice is hereby given that:
- The audit of accounts of Central Bedfordshire Council has been conducted for the year ended 31 March 2011.
- The Statement of Accounts are available for inspection by any local government elector for the Central Bedfordshire area, by section 14 (inspection of statements of accounts and auditors’ reports) of the 1998 Act, at the Council’s Offices at:
Technology House, 239 Ampthill Road, Bedford, MK42 9BD
Between the hours of 9:00 and 16:00 Monday to Friday.
Any such elector may make copies of the Statement of Accounts or extracts there from. Copies of the Statement of Accounts will be delivered to any such elector on request. If advance notice can be provided by the requestor, this will minimise waiting times and can be made on the telephone number below.

Budget statements
Central Bedfordshire Council has a revenue budget and a capital programme which fund the services we provide such as education, public amenities, social services, waste, roads, transport, trading standards and benefits.
The money we spend comes from government grants, business rates, council tax and charges for services.

Legacy authorities statement of accounts
As the legal successor to the three former authorities of Bedfordshire County Council, Mid Bedfordshire District Council and South Bedfordshire District Council, Central Bedfordshire Council had the responsibility of closing these Councils accounts for 2008/09.
The Council is required to publish these accounts in line with the Accounts and Audit Regulations.
