How do young people get a Work Experience placement?
We encourage and support work experience placements for students aged 14 years+. Work experience is designed to give the student a flavour of what the working world is like and helps them to learn basic work skills and decide what career path they might like to follow. Work experience lasts from a few days to two weeks. Students do not receive any payment or travel expenses during the course of their work experience.
Young people can self initiate a placement by completing the "student initiated form" obtained from their school/college and email this to the HR Shared Services Team at jobs@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk.
