Childcare advice from the Family Information Service
The Family Information Service provides free and impartial information and advice on:
- Ofsted registered childcare and early education
- help you can get with childcare costs
- funded childcare and early education for 2, 3 and 4 years olds including 30 hours entitlement for working parents
- how to become a childminder
We can provide information and advice on childcare options to suit you, your family and your work pattern. We hold a database of local providers, including:
- childminders
- nurseries
- preschools
- out of school clubs
- holiday play schemes
We also have the local Family Information Directory which has details of many organisations and a wide range of services.
