The Trading Standards Service is here to make sure that you’re not getting misled, short-changed or deceived when you buy a product or pay for a service you need. And perhaps more importantly, it’s also our job to protect you from anything that could be harmful to the health and wellbeing of you and your family – things like misdescribed goods or shops that sell alcohol to minors.
At the same time, if you’re a business owner, we’re looking out for you too – so we offer helpful advice and information on complying with UK and European legislation, as well as protecting you from unfair or illegal competition.
