Emergencies - water/flood rescue
The Fire and Rescue Service in the UK take the lead in flood water rescue. Central Bedfordshire Council will work closely with the Fire and Rescue Service to coordinate the voluntary sector response. For further information on flood rescue please follow the links below:
In Central Bedfordshire we also work closely with Mid-shires Search and Rescue (MSAR) and Rescue and Preparedness in Disasters (RAPID UK) as part of the Bedfordshire and Luton Emergency Volunteers Executive Committee (BLEVEC).
