Voluntary organisations
Voluntary organisations make a fantastic contribution to our communities here in Central Bedfordshire – and they do it not to make money for themselves, but to give something back to society. We’ve got thousands of brilliant clubs, support groups and charities all over the area – many of which are included here on the Central Bedfordshire Council website. So if we’re unable to provide you with a service directly, we hope we can point you in the direction of someone who can.
Voluntary and Community Action is committed to strengthening the effectiveness of the voluntary and community sector in Bedfordshire by developing, enabling, promoting and supporting local voluntary and community action.
They can offer help in a variety of ways:
Individual support to organisations wanting to develop.
Training workshops for trustees, staff and volunteers, or tailored training to suit your needs.
Promoting your volunteering opportunities and providing help and advice on all aspects of volunteering.
Information on a wide range of funding sources.
Regular newsletter keeping you up to date with news and information from the sector.
Raise the profile of your organisation through networking and partnership work.
